Koločep island and surrounding area
The little island Koločep has 2500 m2 and it belongs to the popular group of Elafiti islands: Koločep, Lopud, Šipan and Jakljan. Koločep is only 5 kilometers away from Dubrovnik.
On the island you can find old pine forests, olive-groves and orchards full of lemon and orange trees, beautifully attended gardens and nice beaches. There are two villages named Donje Čelo and Gornje Čelo on the island. One village is situated on the east side of the island and the other on the west. They are joined with a path that you can walk through in only 20 minutes. Serpentine road leads through olive- groves and colourful gardens.
There are no cars on the island. Maybe, from time to time, you can find some little tractor used for agriculture and a little electric car that is usually used on a golf-course.
The island is an ideal destination for those who seek peace. There is a sand beach that goes through Donje Čelo village. There are many places for swimming at the village's end, with tiny strands or stone-made beaches.
The ferries go several times a day from Dubrovnik (port Gruž) , the voyage lasts 25 minutes. We are offering a taxi boat in which case the voyage lasts 15 minutes and brings you directly to the historical town. There is a possibility of one-day trips on surrounding islands as well as sightseeing of dryland which hides envious beauty.
